Know Your Lawyer

Hello, I am Chetana (Chetana Radha Gandhi Kaasam). I have been practicing corporate law for over ten years, the first few years in India and the rest in the US. I am licensed to practice law and am in good standing in both India (AP) and the US (New York and DC). In the year 2020, I started Legal Corner LLP to cater to the business needs of companies and startups that wish to set up or expand to the US markets. Legal Corner LLP is a business attorney services firm, and we offer a full spectrum of US corporate legal services at affordable rates for our startup clients. I currently live in India but practice US corporate law exclusively. I moved back to India in 2019 after having lived in the US for over 13 years. Most of our clients are startups in various stages who are either looking to set up their operations in the US or are looking to expand and raise funds for their startups. I believe I’m strategically placed to the client’s advantage as I’m reachable both on IST and EST/PST, and I understand where they come from, what they need, and how to go about it. 

I worked with one of India’s biggest law firms in their capital markets and private equity practice group at the beginning of my career. I worked on several notable IPOs, QIPs and private offerings during that time. Subsequently, I worked with a US law firm as their corp-lit team lead for their Virginia office, expanding my practice areas. I set up my solo law practice in August 2020 and have been acting as an of-counsel to several other law and accounting firms. 

I studied law at NALSAR University of Law (2004) and then earned a Masters in International Business Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK (2005) and then another Masters in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown Law, USA (2009). 

Apart from being an entrepreneur lawyer, I am also a full-time mom to my two children and my fur baby and a strong advocate for work-life balance and pay parity.
